Hi! We’re Jake and Johanna-a Chicago-based couple with a passion for exploring everywhere, from hidden gems of remote destinations to the bustling streets of iconic cities!

We both have full-time jobs not in the travel realm-Jake is a first responder and Johanna is an animal care specialist at a veterinary hospital at a zoo.  Due to our hectic careers, time off can be very limited and sporadic so we seize every opportunity we can to travel and see the world!

Through captivating visuals, insightful travel tips, and genuine narratives, we strive to inspire others in similar situations to travel the world and experience the many cultures and environments it has to offer-whether it’s a spur-of-the-moment weekend trip on a budget, or a week-long vacation full of luxury!
