Best Travel Backpack!
We all have that one friend who looks like they’ve packed their entire closet for a weekend trip…Hi, it’s me. I am that friend. If you know anything about me, you know that I LOVE to overpack. Well, not that I love to, but I just can’t help it. When I start to pack for a trip, all the “what ifs” start to creep into my head. What if I lose all my luggage? What if I get bored on the plane? What if I can’t decide what to wear? What if I need to change my outfit ten times on a three-day trip?! As all these questions swirl around in my head, I stuff more and more things into my luggage.
Since overpacking is something that I just can’t seem to shake, I’ve been lucky to find the perfect backpack. It is not only great for people like me, the over-packer, but also for those who have some more self-control and don’t want to spend the first part of their vacation waiting at baggage claim but would rather have only a carry-on.
The eBags Mother Lode Travel Backpack (link below) is the perfect size backpack for a long weekend trip! The main reason why I love this backpack so much is because of all the pockets! When you open up the small front pocket, you’ll find enough space for a pair of gym shoes and even a sweatshirt. That pocket has compartments perfect for cables, small items, and even snacks!
The main compartment of the backpack reminds me of an actual suitcase. It is a giant expandable compartment that can fit multiple days of outfits…even for an over-packer like me! Two straps in that compartment help you not to have your items slide all around while you wear the backpack. Even better-it can fit multiple packing cubes (more on packing cubes in a future blog post). The other side has a big mesh compartment that can hold even more clothes or toiletries inside!
Throughout the backpack, numerous other little pockets and compartments can fit anything from snacks and sunglasses to water bottles and even your laptop or iPad! The newer version of this backpack, which I sadly do not own has a water bottle pocket on the outside. Perfect for keeping your emotional support water bottle handy.
Overall, the eBags Mother Lode Travel Backpack is the perfect carry-on for a long weekend trip! It can fit multiple days worth of clothes and entertainment and it fits perfectly under the seat in front of you on an airplane!
